Kickboxing Fitness is first of all meant to be fun!

wWhat is it ?

Kickboxing Fitness is an aerobic workout and a self-defense class in one! This high energy workout will get your body in top shape, and teach you defensive skills that come straight from martial arts. Don't worry...there is no physical contact. Kickboxing Fitness is first of all meant to be fun! The self-defense techniques are an added benefit, and one of the reasons for the extreme popularity of this sport.

Who can benefit?

You can. It doesn't matter whether you're a beginner, or a black belt, or an old aerobics pro. This is one dynamic workout you won't want to miss.

All our kickboxing instructors are experienced martial artists, certified by the National Association for Professional Martial Arts.

Beginners

Kickboxing Fitness is designed to allow beginners to do modified steps and easily keep up with more advanced students. Your aerobic capacity will quickly increase as you gain new skills. In a very short time you will be confident and excited about the way you look and feel.

Advanced, and Martial Artists

You aerobics pros and those with martial backgrounds can enhance your current program. You know "if you don't use it, you lose it." Maybe you're a bit pressed for time; not getting to that regular two-hour workout ? Come to our Kickboxing Fitness classes and practice your basics in a way that won't make you feel as if you're practicing your basics ! This class is anything BUT dull, and will give you the nonstop aerobic workout you probably don't get from your martial regime, and the self-defense confidence you don't get from vanilla aerobics. You'll especially appreciate all the bag work you get in this class.

Yes, Kickboxing Fitness is safe.

The class will start with a complete warm up sequence to prepare your body for more vigorous activity. Stretching will follow, to get your muscles ready for the range of motion you will use.

The class often breaks in order for you to check your heart rate. This check is important because it enables you to determine if you're working too hard...or not hard enough! Your instructor will show you how to increase or decrease the intensity of your workout.

After the aerobic portion of the class, your instructor will lead you in "cool down" exercises and stretches designed to gradually return your body to normal and recuperate before you leave class.

As with any program of exercise, listen to your own body and work at the pace and level you are comfortable with. If you have any medical problems, consult with your doctor before taking the class.
